LOOKING FOR MORE DIRECTORS
FESTALFINE, the company responsible for running Lichfield Court, is still looking for additional directors to join the board. If you own a flat in Lichfield Court and can spare a couple of hours once a month, there is plenty of scope for you to join in. The present board contains a diverse mixture of flat owners who share the common aim of making Lichfield Court a better place in which to live. You might not think you have any special skills, but the board always needs down-to-earth commonsense input from the people they represent. Contact Martin Swaine in the Estate Office for a nomination paper for next month's AGM.
LICHFIELD COURT RESTORATION FUND
LICHFIELD COURT received its listed building status mainly because it retains special architectural merit as a landmark building in Richmond. Despite heavy capital expenditure planned for this year and in 2008, important parts of the buildings still need to be updated but there are not enough financial resources to do this. By creating the Lichfield Court Restoration Fund, Festalfine directors hope to attract funding from architectural and historical bodies, local businesses and private donors. More details of how the fund will be set up and how flat owners can get involved in outside fundraising will be available at the November AGM.
LIAISON GROUP VOLUNTEERS
AN IMPORTANT part of the current capital expenditure programme is the Lichfield Court Capital Programme Liaison Group (CPLG). Designed with the idea that flat owners will want to keep a close watch on how development work is taking place this year and in 2008, the CPLG is still hoping for more volunteers to join it. Estate manager Martin Swaine is eager to welcome more members to this important liaison group.
NEW LICHFIELD COMMUNITY WEBSITE
TAKE A look at the brainchild of Aude Barbera who is the driving force behind the new Lichfield Court Community Website. It is intended as a forum for residents to exchange news, discuss everything from the latest rugby result to the development plans for Lichfield Court, and of course arrange to meet for a drink or something to eat. www.lichfieldcourtcommunity.co.uk/
